Operations are undertaken.

1. Process Audit

  • Observe and note the present practices and suggestions to improve safety from electrostatic discharge.
  • Method of charging reactors with solvent, and powders.
  • Nitrogen purging.
  • Centrifuging operation, filter bag, Nitrogen purging, unloading cake into
  • Containers with earth rods, Drier’s earthing.
  • Grounding of sifters, Micronizers, Multimillers etc.
  • Floor resistance.
  • Testing anti-static Poly bags, Filter bags.

2. Earthing and Bonding Practices

  •  Earth continuity checks from equipment to earth pit.
  •  Bonding of equipment and pipelines.

3. Tank form Area:

  • Earthing of bulk storage tanks.
  • Sampling.
  • Loading & unloading operations.

4. Personnel grounding

  • Anti-static footwear, anti-static wrist bands.
  • Static dissipative touch pads.
  • Aprons.

5. Earth pit electrical Resistance Measurements.

6. Inertizing by using NITROGEN (N2).

7. Flooring electrical resistance measurements.

8. Usage of control systems and Measuring instruments.

A report will be submitted after the survey with observations and recommendations.
